You can mow over where you seeded and it will be fine. Gr seed germinates in just a week or two. 6 weeks after putting down seed put some weed and feed down and that will make the gr grow and kill the weeds. Slowly water your yard everyday till the dirt stays moist. It may take a week or two but if you water it everyday then it will come around.
